Gremmy Print

When we had our third litter with Yüksi in May 2002 we wanted to make sure, that we could continue with the until then health- and character related successful breed line. That is the reason why we decided to keep another bitch in our house.

Gremmy, Yüksi’s offspring, was quite temperamentful, confident and very “keen to go on expeditions” during all eight weeks of puppystage. In trainings she is always keen and persistent, while she catches with her excellent “nose work”. She works very efficient and always wants to please her trainer. At hunting she reinforces through her strength of purpose with game animals while she constantly holds the contact with the hunters. Within 15 month she achieved second in the youth section in the Specialities in Sweden, where from ten dogs, only two passed. End of August 2003 she did the JEP/s and in September in the age of 16 month she managed the JP/R and BLP (303 Points) in only one weekend. In October she was allowed to demonstrate her rummaging skills at an elk hunt in Sweden. In the following year she passed the Masterclass at the Tollerspeciality in August and in October she won the “VPS with living duck and fox”.

In April 2005 she had her first litter with Webley’s Gibli. She gave birth and fostered eight puppies (7 males and 1 female) without problems and only her instincts. We kept one male (Indiana Jones). In August 2005 she easily won the Jaktprov Masterklas at the Specialities in Sweden. Eventhough she had almost no hair (because of her litter she had not long before) she participated in the finals and came Vizetollermaster (second master). In Autumn she achieved her best test, the RGP/R, the second Toller after her mum that passed this test. In 2006 she was successful twice at the WT-F, and even nominated once.

In July she had her second litter, the father was “Heiko vom Lech- Toller Nest”. We had 8 puppies (3 males and 5 females) and shortly after in November she passed the “St John’s Retrievertest” ( Open class trials) and she did it as first Toller overall. In 2007 Thomas aimed for the PNS with her, a elite hunt over two days. Also with a over night blood track without judge escort, 500m hair trail and a very difficult water work. Also because of the good preparation she was the first and only dog that passed this test in 2007.

In spring 2008 we went to Washington. The male Foxgrove’s red Storm Rising was going to be the father of Gremmy’s third litter. The long flight was without any problems for her and she got 9 puppies (5 males and 4 females) – affectionately we call them our “M&M’s“, she gave them her excellent working gemes. A new goal for Thomas and her was the clubs blood tracking test, a 1000m blood track with minimum 20 hours laytime (before it can be worked). Reliable as always she also took that challenge- again as the first Toller ever.

Since she passes her reliable, friendly character with her excellent working skills exceedingly onto her puppies, we decided for a fourth litter in 2009. We were rarely as avid of a male as we are of the father for this litter. Our hopes for healthy puppies conformed and we now have 9 (6 males and 3 females) of them.

She also proved her hunting passion in various duck huntings. Gremmy is a very willing, passionate bitch, with high hunting understanding, skills, instinct and outstanding nose work. In Family life she is always friendly, cuddly and loveable and we are happy, that we found a really good dog for the breed line with her.
